Founded in 1972 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, today River States Truck and Trailer is the premier truck and trailer dealer and service center in Western Wisconsin.  Still family owned and operated under the reigns of Joseph Laux, who took over in 1993, River States has grown to employ more than 150 staff members at 3 full-service dealerships and 2 satellite locations.  We also are home to the areas largest state-of-the-art body shop which recently underwent a $2 million expansion project.

It has taken us many years to build our present public image and we continue to grow and strive to make sure our business is operated on the principles in which we were founded. Our vision for the future is to continuously build solid relationships with our customers through trust and respect, and grow our business, not only to benefit our customers, but our employees and the dealership as well.
